Xinghua City in Jiangsu Province started transporting 2,000 masks and 60,000 medical gloves it donated to Cambodia on March 25.
Shu Guilan, head the city’s Judicial Bureau, initiated the donation one day earlier after learning Cambodia is in shortage of medical supplies, such as masks, protective suits and goggles, due to underdeveloped medical system, treatment level and limited production capacity.
She contacted Xinghua People’s Hospital to organize the donation, purchased the supplies to assist Cambodia’s response against COVID-19.
It took just one day to launch the donation and start the transport thanks to the support from all sides.
