"Inside Out 2" tops North American box office for second weekend in a row

LOS ANGELES, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Disney and Pixar's animated film "Inside Out 2" took the top spot at the North American box office for the second weekend in a row with an estimated three-day cume of 100 million U.S. dollars, figures from the measurement firm Comscore showed on Sunday.

The sequel to 2015's "Inside Out" has grossed 355.2 million dollars in North America after ten days of release, making it the highest-grossing film so far this year in the region.

The film, directed by Kelsey Mann in his feature directorial debut, also took in 164.4 million dollars overseas this weekend, pushing its international cume to 369.2 million dollars for a global total of 724.4 million dollars.

In second place, Sony Pictures' action comedy "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" generated 18.8 million dollars on its third weekend for a North American total of 146.9 million dollars.

Rounding out the Top three, Focus Features' crime drama film "The Bikeriders" opened with 10 million dollars this weekend.
