The second China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Annual Meeting opened in Yixing of Wuxi City on July 20, showcasing more than 300 intangible cultural heritage (ICH) items curated from across the country.

Co-hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Wuxi Municipal People's Government, the event included an opening ceremony, an ICH fair, and an annual forum. Activities included the ICH exhibition, the release of annual achievements in ICH protection, and academic discussions, highlighting the preservation and innovative development of traditional culture and crafts.

At the opening ceremony, the China Association of Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection unveiled its logo, a circular design featuring the "fangshengwen" pattern inside. This pattern, which consists of two rhombus corners overlapping each other, has a long history in China. This dynamic logo reflects the concerted efforts to promote the inheritance, dissemination and development of ICH while preserving  fine traditional Chinese culture.

The fair gathered hundreds of ICH items recognized at national, provincial and municipal levels, displayed across various settings such as halls, stores, stalls and water areas. The fair provided participants a unique opportunity to explore intangible cultural heritage while immersing in the charm of the Jiangnan watertown.
