Jiangsu-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance unveils base in Jiangyin City

The Jiangsu-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance (JHMUA) held a meeting on regional cooperation in Jiangyin on June 16 and also announced the launch of a practice base in the county-level city administrated by Wuxi City.

The JHMUA was jointly established by Nanjing University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Macau on December 16, 2021. The JHMUA aims to leverage the advantages of tertiary institutions to strengthen exchange and collaboration in areas including talent cultivation. The JHMUA now includes 33 member institutions.

An economic powerhouse in China's county-level cities, Jiangyin is striving to build a modern pilot area for talent development. It is now home to seven research institutes led by Nobel Prize laureates, 11 national-level R&D institutions, 188 provincial-level engineering and technology research centers, 61 workstations by academicians from home and abroad, and 711 high-tech enterprises.
