The 11th Chinese Roses Exhibition recently opened in Rose Town in Siyang County, Suqian City, with Huai’an winning the special gold award for the garden and three other gold prizes.

An important birthplace of Chinese roses since ancient times, Huai'an boasts a long history of roses cultivation and then ranked among the country’s eight major roses centers in the 1990s.

The Huai'an Garden in this exhibition covers an area of about 1200 square meters, making creative use of bridges, water, corridors, arches and other gardening elements to reflect the city’s cultural legacies related to water and flowers. The garden also had 4,000 pots of Chinese roses and a green space of over 400 square meters.
