The 20th Jinhu Lotus Festival opened at the Ailian Square in Jinhu County, Jiangsu Province on July 8.

The festival, which enjoys a national reputation, will consist of over 20 events until August 18.

Now in the 20th edition, the festival has become an important chance to promote the county’s rich tourism resources and new development highlights, such as agritourism.

As the county has increased efforts to take advantage of its ecological resources in recent years, both the number of visitors and tourism revenue increased over 20 percent year on year.

Among the honors, Jinhu County has passed the national review of this new development model that adopts an integrated approach to promote coordinated development of the economy and society.
