Nanjing’s urban management department has made comprehensive efforts to ensure the safety and order of the 11th Jiangsu Horticultural Expo which began to receive visitors on April 17.
To improve visitor’s experience, a temporary office of the department has been set up at the event venue. Meanwhile, over 38,600 people and 7,900 vehicles have been mobilized to offer various services for the event since April 15, such as asking mobile vendors to clear off the pavements and regulating the parking of non-motorized vehicles.
The event venue is equipped with eight rubbish collection points, 240 pairs of bins, and 34 fixed and nine mobile toilets. A total of 238 sanitation workers, 12 high-pressure cleaning vehicles, 6 road sweepers and other vehicles stand ready to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
The urban management authority has also established an emergency response team assisted with 12 vehicles and intensified efforts for dust control. No litter in the event venue is left uncleared for 10 minutes.
