Jiangsu Province is ramping up efforts to develop its low-altitude economy, according to a press conference of the provincial government on August 27, which highlighted recent progress of fostering new quality productive forces and transforming Jiangsu into a manufacturing powerhouse.
Zhang Xing, deputy director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology, said the provincial government has announced an action plan aimed at accelerating the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy.
Jiangsu’s current development priorities include the manufacturing of large and medium-sized industrial drones, flying cars, and new energy general aviation aircraft. There is also significant emphasis on the advancement of power systems, flight control systems, and communication facilities.
Furthermore, the province will support the efforts to deepen collaborations with universities and research institutions, and create collaborative innovation bases that integrate industry, academia, and research sectors.
