A delegation led by Xin Changxing, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, recently visited Singapore to further implement the important consensus reached between China and Singapore, and join in efforts to elevate Jiangsu-Singapore cooperation to a new level.
During the visit, Xin attended the 17th Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council Meeting as well as the 2023 Singapore-Jiangsu Coperation Conference on Opening-up and Innovation, aiming to boost trade, advance the Belt and Road Initiative, enhance collaboration in S&T innovation, promote green development, and strengthen cultural and people-to-people ties.
Notably, the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), the first flagship intergovernmental cooperation projects between the two countries, is nearing its 30th anniversary celebration. An exhibition on the SIP's high-quality development achievements held in Singapore attracted attention of the participants.
The visit also led to the signing of new agreements in industrial cooperation, trade and investment, S&T, cultural and tourism projects.
Additionally, the delegation visited Nanyang Technological University and witnessed the launch of new projects for technology and innovation collaboration. The group also toured Wilmar International, Royal Golden Eagle, Temasek, and Changi Airport's expansion project.
