Jinhu opens lotus festival, unveils 55 projects with investment of 21.7 bln yuan

The 23rd China-Jinhu Lotus Festival, which consisted of 24 events, opened in Jinhu County, Huai'an City on June 10.

Jinhu was named as one of China's top 100 county-level regions in three categories: green economic growth, sci-tech innovation and investment potential. Jinhu is also a pilot county for intellectual property in Jiangsu and home to the province's Instrument Industrial Park. It has been designated as pilot county for pursuing the high-quality development of the private sector and innovation-driven growth. These recognitions reveal county's great development opportunities.

One day before the festival's opening, Jinhu held an investment and financing roadshow, signing newly agreed ideal for 55 projects with a total investment of 21.76 billion yuan. These projects cover various fields such as new energy, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, modern agriculture, modern services and others.

Now in its 23rd edition, the festival has become an important platform for Jinhu to promote industrial integration and share the benefits of eco-friendly development. It provides a key opportunity to gather high-end resources, and stimulate cultural and tourism spending.

The festival, which runs from June 10 to October, is the longest ever held. During the festival, Jinhu focuses on a wide range of activities catering to the diverse needs of tourists, locals and businesses, such as countryside trips, weekend travel routes, family-friendly tours, as well as activities related to cycling, water landscapes and camping.
