Wujiang District in Suzhou City has made active efforts to support companies to embrace low-carbon transformation. 

Suzhou Canlon Polymer Building Materials Co Ltd, located in the district, got the property certificate for its three new workshops on July 19 and meanwhile launched the distributed rooftop PV system atop these workshops.  

It became the first company in Jiangsu to complete the usually two separate administration approvals at the same time. This streamlined government service means Canlon can immediately use the renewable energy without additional waiting for approval.  

Wujiang is one of pilot regions in China to promote rooftop PV system. The district has optimized the approval service to facilitate a green transformation of the economy.   

In the first half of the year, Wujiang processed 58 distributed rooftop solar projects, which has a total installed capacity of 69.65MW. If the lifetime of PV modules is estimated for 25 years, such projects can generate 1.5 billion kWh, equivalent of saving 638,400 tonnes of standard coal.
