Nanjing City signed 59 key deals with a total investment of 120 billion yuan during a virtual event on April 21.

The projects included hosting the headquarters of PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited (HDEC) , one of the globally leading engineering and construction firms, the new phase of BASF-YPC expansion, and a strategic cooperation with China Sports Industry Group.

The event included one main venue in Nanjing and 13 other satellite venues by video link. It also saw the inauguration of an association with more than 20 members to promote industry-university cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta region. The association plans to set up a venture fund of one billion yuan to nurture projects for carbon neutrality.

Among the 59 projects, 39 are in manufacturing, biomedicine, new energy vehicles, and 20 fall under the modern service category including software and information services, finance, trade and logistics.
