December 10 saw the ground-breaking ceremony of the Taihu Lake Innovation Base as well as a signing ceremony for 35 biomedical projects with a total investment of 33.9 billion yuan that landed in Wuxi National High-Tech District.
The Phase II of the Innovation Base over an area of 13 hectares will be committed to the development of medical supplies, biomedical manufacturing, digital technology-based diagnosis and treatment.
The newly agreed projects include the establishment of the Ruijin Yangtze River Delta Health Research Institute and the Institute of Special Foods and Nutritional Health. The projects also cover fields of medical devices, Internet hospitals and industry funds.
