Changzhou government and Xinhua Daily Media Group hosted the Changzhou New Infrastructure Development Promotion Conference on July 8.
The government inked strategic agreement with the Jiangsu branches of China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Tower to promote construction and application of 5G networks.
A total of 20 industrial investment projects, with a total investment of more than 100 billion yuan ($14.28 billion), will create a strong thrust to new infrastructure development.
Qi Jiabin, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Committee and director of the Standing Committee of Changzhou People’s Congress, said the city will focus on the construction of 5G base stations, high voltage facilities, intercity high-speed railways, urban rail transit, new energy vehicle charging piles, Big Data centers, AI and industrial Internet development.
