Jiangsu delegates eager to put into practice spirits of 20th CPC National Congress

Delegates from Jiangsu Province to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) have pledged to earnestly study and implement the spirit of the congress, put into action the major decisions and arrangements, and forge ahead to create new miracles as the congress came to a conclusion on October 22.

Professor Xu Chuan, Party chief at School of Marxism, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, said he will persistently learn and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, clearly explain the historical, theoretical, and practical logic of the Thought for students, and highlight the power of theory in building a modern socialist country in all respects.

Sun Xiaoyun, chairwoman of both Chinese Calligraphers Association and Jiangsu Provincial Calligraphers Association, said she will draw inspiration from everyday life, the experiences and urgent needs of the people to produce more quality works that meet the people's aspirations for spiritual and cultural life.

Zheng Xiang, Party chief of Wenchang Garden Neighborhood in Yangzhou's Guangling District and director of the neighborhood committee, said she will give full play to the role of primary Party organization as militant bastions of the Party and the pioneering role of Party members to help the community's development and lead the cadres and the people to create a better life.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Jiangsu Dasheng Group became the first in China to open an intelligent textile factory. Li Lannyu, deputy director of the company's digital spinning workshop, said efforts will be made to advance the intelligent and digital transformation of the traditional industry, ensure the quantity and quality to meet the goals, and contribute to the country's modernization drive.

Wu Hongmei, a line manager of Jiangsu Bestway Recreational Co Ltd, said she will motivate more frontline workers to carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship and make new strides with confidence and courage.

The Bank of Jiangsu will give priority to serving the real economy and guide more investment into key areas such as advanced manufacturing, green and low-carbon endeavors, science and technology innovation, said Xia Ping, Party chief and chairman of the bank.

Jianhu County will build high-standard farmlands with a high and stable yield, improve the agriculture production capacity, and ensure the income increase, according to Qi Congfeng, Party chief of the county.

Daizhuang Village in Jurong City's Tianwang Town has organized small-scale farmers to engage in sustainable agriculture as well as the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, which coordinates economic growth with environmental protection. Zhao Yafu, a researcher of the village's organic agriculture cooperative, said he will help improve the technical system and expand the experience to reach other places.

For Li Min, deputy Party chief of Shuangdang Village in Shuyang County, the county has formed its own path of entrepreneurship by combining its trees and flowers businesses with e-commerce. She said Shuyang will take a down-to-earth approach to promote rural vitalization through the application of digital technologies and make sure all families can participate in and also benefit from the initiative. Wang Ying, deputy director of the Department of Letters and Calls of Changzhou City, said it’s important to keep in mind the Party's fundamental purpose of serving the people and do everything possible to address the concerns of the people.

"We will remember the mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the State, step up efforts to build a strong team of teachers, improve the way of teaching, and enhance the training of talents to support innovation," said Sun Youxin, principal of Jiangyan Middle School.

Cui Shengju, a police officer at Xishanqiao Police Station in Nanjing's Yuhuatai District, said she will continue to improve her ability and performance to solve the most pressing difficulties and problems that are of great concern to the people.
