Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province won the Award of Most Attractive City to Talent for the third time and Award of Most Employment Promotion City for the second time, according to Chinese job site Zhoapin.com.
The website held the annual award ceremony on December 18 to announce winners of China Best Employers Award 2021, an event that attracted the participation of over 80,000 companies.

Wuxi made it on to the list of two rankings about a city’s attraction and employment performance released also during the ceremony.
The city attracted talents for its strengths in industry, policies, events and services. The city has a solid industrial foundation, especially the rapid rise of strategic emerging industries. Since 2016, Wuxi has become the popular destination of many top talents including Nobel Prize laureates, academicians and outstanding graduates thanks to the Taihu Lake Talent program.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the number of employed personnel in Wuxi rose to nearly 2.99 million, an annual increase of 100,000. The period saw an increase of 773,900 new urban jobs, an average annual growth of 150,000. The urban registered unemployment rate dropped from 1.89% to 1.75%, about 1 percentage point lower than the provincial average, achieving a year-on-year reduction for ten consecutive years.
