The vouchers will be used for spending in the retail and catering sectors that face many difficulties due to the pandemic. The scheme also includes the extra subsidy to consumers of the two sectors selected through the luck draw.
All people in Nanjing including migrants can apply for the e-voucher through AliPay, WeChat, UnionPay, Meituan and Douyin. Residents from cities in the Nanjing Metropolis Cluster including Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, Huai’an, Wuhu, Maanshan, Chuzhou, Xuancheng, and Changzhou’s Liyang and Jintan can submit the application from three platforms – UnionPay, Meituan and Douyin.
The program is expected to encourage enterprises to also offer their own vouchers or discounts to further stimulate consumption around the two important holidays.
