First case of 2019-nCoV pneumonia cured in Huai’an

Huaian's first confirmed case of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus was cured and discharged from hospital in Huai’an of Jiangsu Province on February 1st. 

 

The patient, a 52-year-old man from Huai'an District, returned to Huai'an on January 19 from Wuhan, where he has lived for 20 years. Getting a fever and coughed on January 20, he came to the Fourth People's Hospital of Huai'an on January 23 and was confirmed as the infector of novel coronavirus by Health Committee of Jiangsu on January 24.

 

After treatment, the patient recovered, without fever for 8 days while the symptoms improved significantly as well. The figures of nucleic acid test and CT scan showed that he met the the standard of recover. He was thus released from isolation and discharged. He is grateful to the expert group and the medical staff of the Fourth People's Hospital of Huai'an, for their commitment and efforts. "With joint efforts of our people, we will achieve the final victory of this campaign!”

 

Zheng Yulong, the discipline leader of the expert group, introduced that at present, most of the patients in Huai'an are in stable condition.
