The fourth meeting of the seventh CPC Huai'an Congress opened at the Huai'an Grand Theater on December 31.
On behalf of the CPC Huai’an Committee, Cai Lixin, the new secretary of the committee, made a work report about the city’s achievements in 2019, such as better economic quality, robust development momentum, higher modernization, improved people's livelihood, and strengthened Party building.
Chen Zhichang, deputy secretary of the CPC Huai’an Committee and acting mayor, presided over the meeting.
Cai also emphasized in the report that Huai’an will secure a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects in 2020 and focus on improving quality in four main fields - economic growth, urban and rural development, people’s life, and Party building. To realize these goals, the city will give priorities to seven initiatives about the big and leading investment projects, transportation hub, national civilized city, rural revitalization, ecological environment protection, work safety, and modernizing the governance system.
The meeting also passed resolutions over the work report of the CPC Huai’an Committee and the work report of the committee’s Commission for Discipline Inspection.
