On November 22, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announce the 2024 batch of 35 advanced manufacturing clusters, including four located in Jiangsu Province.
An advanced manufacturing cluster is an industrial grouping of companies and institutions in close proximity that engage in mutual cooperation and exchanges. Jiangsu now boasts 14 such recognized clusters, the highest number nationwide.
Among the newly recognized clusters, the Suzhou High-End Scientific Instruments Cluster, centered in Suzhou Industrial Park, hosts over 700 enterprises, including eight publicly listed companies, with a total industrial output of nearly 40 billion yuan. The cluster’s products, such as BMS testers and mechanical testing equipment, lead the domestic market.
The Southern Jiangsu Special Steel Materials Cluster comprises leading companies across five cities in the province’s southern region. They specialize in manufacturing special steel and high-end alloys, each with distinctive strengths.
The third cluster is formed by advanced photovoltaic manufacturing companies across the cities of Yancheng, Changzhou, Suqian and Huai’an.
