Marriage registration services in Nanjing’s scenic areas, including the Confucius Temple and Mochou Lake, are fully booked for January 1, as many couples choose to start the new year with sweet marriage registration.

Quite a few marriage registration offices across the city will remain open during the New Year holiday. However, due to the high demand, couples must schedule their registration online 2 to 30 days in advance.

Data shows that offices in Nanjing's Gulou District, Pukou District, Yuhuatai District, Jiangning District, and Liuhe District are already fully booked for the first day of 2025.
