Jiangsu has announced 15 measures to bolster the night economy and stimulate consumer spending, according to the press conference held by the provincial government on January 8.

Si Yong, director of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, stated that the night economy plays a crucial role in comprehensively expanding domestic demand, and fostering the integrated development of commerce, culture, and tourism.

The measures include establishing nightlife brands, and enhancing nighttime services in shopping areas and scenic spots. Jiangsu also supports institutions and enterprises in developing digital products and services and improving the synergy between online and offline platforms.

Joint efforts will promote the cultural and tourism consumption activities and encourage extended opening hours at sports and fitness facilities, museums, libraries, art galleries, and community centers. Moreover, bus services will be adjusted to accommodate the nighttime passenger flow.
