The Jiangsu Aviation Manufacturing Industry Cooperation and Matchmaking Conference was held in Nanjing on December 9, highlighting the province’s position as a key aviation equipment manufacturing hub in China.
The province is home to more than 400 enterprises, with an industry scale exceeding 100 billion yuan and a relatively complete industrial system. It has attracted global giants such as Airbus, GE Aviation, and Safran Aircraft Engines to establish regional headquarters or R&D centers. The province also manufactures leading products that are part of the supply chains of international aviation companies like Boeing, Airbus, and Bombardier.
The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has 81 Jiangsu-based suppliers for components ranging from integrated surveillance systems to hydraulic and fuel systems, fuselages, and transparent window components, placing the province among the top in the nation for supplier numbers.
During the matchmaking event, COMAC introduced its efforts to promote the aviation industry’s supply chain and outlined supplier enrollment requirements. Financial institutions showcased their services, while Jiangsu enterprises presented their products, technologies, and supporting services. Universities such as Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics shared insights into aviation technology R&D.
The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has pledged to foster collaborative efforts to drive technological innovation, enhance the R&D and testing capabilities of key systems, and achieve breakthroughs in airborne system technologies. The province will also accelerate industrial collaboration and the development of flight training, aircraft maintenance, and aircraft leasing.
