Jiangsu’s airports are expected to handle about 420 international flights with over 65,000 passengers during the May Day holiday, marking year-on-year growths of 74% and 125%, respectively.

During the five-day holiday starting from May 1, Nanjing Lukou International Airport is projected to accommodate 45,000 inbound and outbound trips, doubling the volume seen in the same holiday last year. Specifically, there will be 22,300 outbound passengers, with over 70% for tourism purposes.

At present, the province's major airports have opened 37 international (regional) passenger routes, including two intercontinental routes to Sydney and Milan and 25 routes to destinations in Asia.
