The Shanghai-Nanjing Riverside High-speed Railway, spanning 279 kilometers along the southern bank of the Yangtze River, marked its one-year anniversary on September 28.
Over the past year, the railway transported 14 million passengers and operated more than 24,000 train services, with direct connections to 69 cities across the country.
Railway authorities have also established a travel alliance among cities along the river and promoted tourism with various initiatives. The alliance has enhanced the use of local culture and tourism resources, significantly boosting the development of tourism industry.
