Suzhou unveiled its latest talent policy during the Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites, which opened on July 10 together with the Fifth Suzhou Scientists Day.
Special incentives are among the policy. For example, the city pledges to provide top-notch talent with project fund ranging from 30 million to 100 million yuan, diversify its housing services, and enhance the education system for the children of high-level talent.
The Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites, held for sixteen sessions, has helped facilitate the establishment of 13,000 projects in the city, nearly half of which are international.
At the opening ceremony, Suzhou also announced the winners of innovation competitions.
The city has been named as one of the most attractive Chinese cities to foreign talents for 12 consecutive years. Starting in 2020, Suzhou has designated July 10 every year as "Scientist Day" to express respect and appreciation for scientists and talents.
