Nanjing hosts World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference

The 2023 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference opened in Nanjing City on December 6, with the theme of “intelligent, digital and connected transformation, digital-real economy integration and innovation.”

The 3-day conference inaugurated the International Coalition of Intelligent Manufacturing (ICIM), released two lists of the top 10 achievements in intelligent manufacturing worldwide and in China, announced intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories, and also outlined eight domestic development trends in the field.

In addition to the general assembly, there are five special activities: the China-France Manufacturing Forum on Digital and Intelligent Transformation, the annual meeting and local visit of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee, the first global meeting of the ICIM, and the 3rd Forum on Composites Technology and Equipment Development & International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing Technology and Equipment.

There are also 15 forums for the professionals on a wide range of topics closely related to intelligent manufacturing, such as digital twins, industrial AI, industrial robots, and new power storage solutions.

Furthermore, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government signed strategic cooperation agreements with the China Aviation Industry Corporation and the Aero Engine Corporation of China. While aligning with major national strategies and regional economic development, the province will further gather high-quality resources and strive to build a new ecosystem featuring efficient coordination and in-depth integration of industry, academia and research.

The conference resumed the onsite exhibition over an area of 60,000 square meters and attracted more than 390 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions, including 40 industry leaders and companies on the Fortune Global 500 list. The exhibition includes four zones dedicated to industrial robotics, intelligent manufacturing demonstration, equipment, and control systems, giving a full display of latest achievements, cutting-edge technology and high-end products. Notably, the inaugural industrial robotics zone showcases nearly 300 products, such as those for welding, heavy-duty transportation and coordination.
