In the first 10 months of this year, Jiangsu’s foreign trade with Africa reached 127.2 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 6.4% and setting a new record, according to Nanjing Customs.
Africa’s industrialization has spurred significant demand for engineering machinery, electrical equipment, and communication equipment. In the first ten months of this year, Jiangsu’s equipment manufacturing industry exported goods worth 56.6 billion yuan to Africa, a year-on-year increase of 33%.
Notably, the electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, and the automobile manufacturing industry each saw an average export growth of 20%.
