More than 700 enterprises from Jiangsu Province are expected to participate in 70 overseas trade fairs in the first half of the year.
As China adjusted the epidemic prevention and control policy, the province's Foreign Affairs Office implemented eight measures in February to make international business trips easier. The province's Department of Commerce also formulated plans and policies to support foreign trade.
Thanks to these efforts, economic and trade talks held in Singapore, Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions by Nanjing, Suzhou and Wuxi in February registered letters of intent worth 260 billion yuan, a strong indicator of the Jiangsu's economic resilience and growth.

During Genera 2023, the International Energy and Environment Fair in Spain, Nanjing-based Hanersun won letters of intent with European customers worth 22 million euros for solar modules of 36 MW generating capacity. Then In Arab Health, a global healthcare medical expo, the city's Jusha and other companies inked primary agreements worth 20 million yuan.
As 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, the province will actively promote the economic, trade, and cultural exchanges and cooperation with countries involved in the initiative. The province has already sent 198 teams to the countries along the Belt and Road, accounting for 44% of the total number of outbound business delegations.
The commerce departments and foreign affairs offices in the province and its cities have supported 245 enterprises to participate in 38 key exhibitions in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Brazil, Singapore and Russia.
