ASEAN Plus Three Forum on Industrial Chain and Supply Chain Cooperation • Taihu East Asian Entrepreneurs Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, kicked off in Suzhou on July 29.
Under the theme of “Connecting Chains, Promoting Prosperity”, the forum, both online and offline, consists of a main conference and five panel discussions, which focus on different topics including implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and digital economy.
The trade and investment promotion organizations, chambers of commerce and trade associations attending the forum jointly proposed the initiatives for strengthening the cooperation in industry chain and supply chain, which cover topics such as “upgrading the regional industrial chain and supply chain, ensuring unimpeded and swift international logistics, expanding the cooperation in green economy, promoting the development of digital economy, building enterprise service platform actively.”
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the launch of the “10+3” cooperation mechanism. Jiangsu has taken advantage of its geographical proximity, cultural affinity and economic complementarity with ASEAN, Japan, and the ROK in expanding cooperation.
