The China-Israel Science and Technology Communication and Cooperation Conference opened simultaneously in Nanjing, Changzhou and Tel Aviv via video link on April 28.
The conference was jointly organized by the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, the Jiangsu chapter of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Jiangsu Sub-council), and the China-Israel (Changzhou) Innovation Park.
Cong Sufeng, vice chairman of the CCPIT Jiangsu Sub-council, Jiang Pengju, Changzhou’s deputy mayor, and Niv Hanan, Economic Consul at the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai, attended the meeting and made speeches. More than 160,000 people including those from research institutes, industrial parks and enterprises in both countries attended the event online or on-site.
The park is home to 160 Israeli wholly-owned companies and China-Israeli joint ventures and has facilitated 42 technology cooperation projects. Priority has been given to promote projects in robotics, intelligent manufacturing, digital technology, life science, new materials and modern agriculture. Meanwhile, it has hosted platforms such as the Jiangsu China-Israeli Industrial Technology Research Institute, to pool resources for innovation and collaboration.
