Suqian’s foreign trade reached 33.26 billion yuan in 2020, up 40.8% year-on-year, the highest growth in Jiangsu, according to the city’s Customs.

Specifically, Suqian’s general trade rose 44.9% year on year to reach 31.16 billion yuan, and the processing trade hit 2.08 billion yuan, down 0.3%.

Among the market players, private enterprises achieved foreign trade of 25.98 billion yuan, an increase of 51.8% and 78.1% of the city’s total. Foreign-invested enterprises achieved foreign trade of 7.26 billion yuan, a growth of 12.5%.

Exports of mechanical and electrical, high-tech and plastic products reached 11.9 billion yuan, 9.53 billion yuan and 4.7 billion yuan, respectively, up 222%, 415.6% and 44.8%.
