Thanks to simplified customs clearance procedures of Suzhou Customs, 9,610 parcels of goods ordered online will be quickly transported by the designated China-Europe freight train for cross-border e-commerce, passing through Manzhouli in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Xinhui Yida E-commerce Service in Suzhou New District first declared information of the goods through an online platform dedicated to cross-border trade, got the approval of Suzhou Customs, and then transported the goods to the Cross-border E-commerce Inspection Area of the district’s Comprehensive Bonded Zone.

On July 3, customs officers completed the customs clearance of the goods, which were stored in containers and then transported by the designated vehicle to the Suzhou International Railway Logistics Center.

A China-Europe freight train specially for cross-border e-commerce will carry the cargo to leave from Suzhou and pass through Russia, Belarus to reach Hamburg or Duisburg in Germany. It takes about 20 days to finish the journey of 13,000 kilometers.

Compared with China-Europe freight trains departing from other cities, the train from Suzhou to reach European destinations via Manzhouli passes fewer countries and enjoys more convenient customer clearance procedures with less paper work and higher efficiency.

The line links Suzhou with more than 20 European countries such as Italy, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine, Belarus, Sweden, Norway and Czech Republic.
