The 10,000th car of Chinese electric vehicle maker Lixiang Automotive rolled off the assembly line in Wujin National High-Tech Zone in Changzhou City on June 16, setting a record for fast delivery among the world’s EV makers.
The high-tech zone is now home to more than 50 enterprises above designated size in the auto industry with an output value of nearly 8 billion yuan a year. They include leading market players, such as Bosch Automotive Products, Valeo Siemens eAutomotive and LITEON, as well as local promising companies like Wangbang NE and Longcheng Forging. The zone is well on its way to becoming a smart and EV car hub supported by a full-fledged industrial chain.
Meanwhile, the zone also plays host to new industrial organizations, such as the provincial EV resource and information innovation alliance, established jointly by Jiangsu’s work coordination group in the sector and the economic and information technology committee.
