During this period, the China-Europe freight trains departing from Lianyungang City, a hub of China-Europe land-sea transport route, reported 120 trips. The Xuzhou-based cargo trains specially for timber and engineering machinery ensured the solid international logistics support for the development of local industries.
Suzhou has provided export services to nearly 400 manufacturing companies through the use of the China-Europe freight trains.
Amid efforts to combat the COVID-19 outbreak and resume production, Nanjing has also promoted the smooth operation of the freight trains, increasing the number of trips in the first two months this year by 60 percent than the same period in last year.
Jiangsu will further coordinate the pandemic prevention and control and the service of China-Europe freight trains, accelerate the construction of new international logistics route linking Lianyungang and Uzbekistan, and promote the service quality and efficiency of the cargo trains.
The China-Europe freight rail services have pushed forward China's opening-up and boosted economic and trade cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road. The freight rail services linked dozens of domestic cities with many European cities.
