Jiangsu exported various types of ships worth 85.8 billion yuan from January to October this year, representing a year-on-year growth of 63.2% and ranking first in the country, according to Nanjing Customs.
On November 30, a brand-new 64,000-tonne bulk carrier embarked on its maiden voyage from Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co., Ltd. (NACKS) in Chongchuan District.
"This vessel features low fuel consumption and enhanced safety. Its speed, fuel efficiency, economic performance, and environmental standards all exceed the contractual technical specifications," said Yin Feng, assistant director of the company's Procurement Department.
Recently, two newly built bulk carriers were prepared for delivery from the shipyard of New Dayang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., located in Guangling District, Yangzhou City. Part of the CROWN63 PLUS series, each vessel has a deadweight of 64,500 tonnes and boasts lower fuel consumption, larger cargo capacity and excellent transport efficiency, earning high recognition in overseas markets.
Chen Herong, the company’s executive deputy general manager, noted that the company has set a record by delivering 25 ships this year. New Dayang currently holds 83 export orders, with production scheduled through 2028.
