From January to October this year, the energy-saving and eco-friendly industries in Jiangsu Province generated revenue exceeding 600 billion yuan, ranking first nationwide. The province also accounted for approximately one-third of China’s total production of solar panels and power batteries during this period.
Over the past decade, Jiangsu has achieved a remarkable balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability, maintaining an annual GDP growth rate of 6.5% while limiting the average annual increase in energy consumption to 3% and carbon emissions to 1.5%.
As of the end of October this year, Jiangsu’s installed renewable energy capacity reached 85.39 million kilowatts, accounting for 42.2% of the province’s total installed capacity. Its offshore wind power capacity reaches 11.83 million kilowatts, the highest in the country.
