Chen Li, head of cleaning unit at Chengnan Sanitation Service Company in Jiangdu District, Yangzhou City, was honored as a national model worker.
As a deputy to the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, Chen has contributed to 46 proposals covering environmental improvement, urban development, technological development, people's livelihood and community management. She also advocates for more mechanized sanitation operations, better working conditions, and increased income of sanitation workers.
"A deputy to the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress should always be dedicated to the people, and I will continue to do so, just like my commitment to sanitation work,” Chen said.
