Jiangsu, Fukuoka hold 19th youth Go exchange match

The 19th Jiangsu Province-Fukuoka Prefecture Youth Go Exchange Match commenced in Nanjing City on March 26, drawing 16 Go players from China and Japan.

Jiangsu and Fukuoka share a long history of friendly exchanges, underpinned by a sister province-prefecture relationship spanning 32 years, along with various sports and cultural activities.

Initiated in 2001, the youth Go exchange matches have been held biennially. In the 19th edition, the 12-member Japanese delegation will participate in several activities from March 25 to 29, including a visit to Changzhou and a second exchange match in the city.

Many Go players highlighted the importance of this match and cultural exchange in improving Go skills, fostering friendship, and enhancing mutual understanding among the youth of both regions.
