A fully refurbished trail linking the heritage sights and scenic areas in Taizhou City opened on November 25.

More than 120 residents and 30 running enthusiasts celebrated the opening of the trail by taking a walk. The walkway extends for 10.4 kilometers including 8.7 kilometers around the internal section of the old city moat and 1.7 kilometers in the northern section.

The refurbishment included the use of colored plastic pavers as well as renovation of walls close to the track and signs for better safety and visual effect. More importantly, the walkway connects some 30 landmarks and tourist attractions, making it an ideal way to have an outdoor workout and also appreciate the city’s cultural charm.
