Chen Zhichang, mayor of Huai'an City, announced the opening of the 20th Xuyi International Crayfish Festival in Mingzuling Village of Xuyi County on the morning of May 18

In the first netting, 20 boats harvested 100 kilograms of crayfish, which was then purchased by a hotel with a cost of 246,000 yuan in a bidding.

Xuyi, a major crayfish base in Jiangsu Province, opened the first crayfish festival on July 18, 2000. In 20 years, the county has built up its reputation in the province, across the county and in the world. Crayfish industry has become a major source of income for the county’s residents.
