Chen Wenhuai, a 62-year-old citzen of Huai’an City, has made full use of online resources to live a less-stressful life as he spends most of his time at home amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Chen said he has followed the WeChat public account of Jiangsu Huaihai Troupe so he can easily watch some shows on his cellphone.
As many residents on lockdown during the coronavirus outbreak minimize their out door activities, local authorities have expanded the cultural and art resources on the Internet, allowing residents to watch shows or pay a virtual visit to some to tourist destination.
Local resident Chen Yongguang has also frequently used his cellphone to visit many places in the city. He said people can follow the WeChat public account of Huai’an Tourism, run by the Huai’an Department of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism, and then use the virtual reality-aided tour guide system to take a look at 17 landmark sites including Li Canal Cultural Corridor, Huai'an Crystal Palace Beluga Water World and Baima Lake scenic area.
“You can watch from any perspective. From the sky, it’s even more spectacular,” said Chen, who also showed his virtual tour of Zhou Enlai Memorial Hall, a trip filled with great 3D views and other visual technologies.
