Jiangsu University opened its 13th International Culture Festival on May 7, attracting more than 1,000 international students from 85 countries to participate in the event.
The cultural and art performance at the opening ceremony featured 30 programs, such as traditional dances, songs and costume shows by teachers and students from China, Pakistan, Russia, Ghana, India, Thailand and other countries.
The event also included specialty food and games that help understand different cultures.
The Foreign Affairs Office of Zhenjiang People's Government and the Exit-entry Administration Department of the city's Public Security Bureau also participated in the event to introduce their services.
The festival will last from May to November and include a wide range of activities, such as talent competitions, academic forums, meeting with entrepreneurs, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions for foreign students, and a job fair.
