The promotional tour of the International Horticultural Exposition 2021 Yangzhou made a stop at Deji Plaza, a popular shopping destination in Nanjing City, on March 20.
In extending a warm invitation to Nanjing visitors, the event highlighted main events and features of Expo 2021 Yangzhou, the world’s most influential professional exposition on ornamental plants, as well as its ticket policy.
Liu Xiaoli, head of the promotional tour, said the expo, themed on “Green City, Healthy Life,” marks the first time for a top event in the world of horticulture to be held in the Yangtze River Delta region, an economic hub in China.
The venue covers an area of 230 hectares and includes five core zones with a total of 64 outdoor exhibition areas, including 26 for domestic cities and enterprises, 25 for foreign cities or international organizations, and 13 for Jiangsu’s cities.
The expo will open on April 8 at the Zaolinwan resort in Yizheng and will run for 184 days until it closes on October 8. There will be a variety of events related to gardening, flowers, competitions and exhibitions. During the period, it also incudes monthly thematic activities and performances including street culture, ancient flowery costume and music.
