Nanjing Data Trading Platform celebrated its first transaction involving an out-of-town product on December 19, when the "Taicang City Public Transport Data Set" was officially traded at the Nanjing Public Resources Trading Center.
This transaction brought the platform's data transaction value to over 100 million yuan.
The data product, developed by Taicang City Public Transport Co., Ltd., incudes vehicle data and routes for 300 buses across 66 regular routes in the city. It provides data support for developing intelligent transportation systems.
The buyer, a technology company from Xiamen, aims to use the data to enhance its app's data sources, improve the query function, facilitate urban and intercity linkage queries, and increase customer engagement and retention.
Zhang Qiaoling, director of the Nanjing Public Resources Trading Center, said that the platform, launched in February, has registered 1,182 data traders, data vendors, and third-party service organizations. It has listed 377 data products and facilitated 142 transactions, with transaction volumes now exceeding 100 million yuan.
The platform’s inclusion of suppliers and buyers from outside Nanjing underscores its regional and national influence.
