Nanjing unveiled 61 key projects with a total investment of more than 80 billion yuan in a signing ceremony on February 4, including seven foreign-investment projects worth $1.8 billion.

Projects in advanced manufacturing and modern service industries accounted for 62.7% and 35.6% respectively. These projects cover software and information services, smart grid, integrated circuit, biomedicine, intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicle, future network and communication, and gene technology.

The signing ceremony represented the city's first major move to boost economic development in 2023. On February 8, Nanjing will hold a promotion in Hong Kong to introduce the development opportunities and the opening up of its service industry amid efforts to enhance the confidence of domestic and foreign investors.
