Jiangsu enhances mechanized agricultural development

In 2023, Jiangsu Province achieved stable progress in promoting the mechanized, intelligent and green development of its agricultural sector.

The comprehensive mechanization rate for crop cultivation and harvesting reached 87.2%. In sectors like animal husbandry, forestry, fisheries, protected agriculture and primary processing of agricultural products, the rate stood at 65%. This mechanization progress plays a pivotal role in ensuring the stable supply of agricultural goods.

Throughout this year, Jiangsu aims to further strengthen the integration of technologies, such as the Internet of Things, Big Data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, and advance the innovation-driven growth, thus propelling the modernization of agriculture and rural development forward.
