Shanghai, Suzhou start cadre exchange program to boost integration

To boost the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, a national strategy, Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province and Shanghai have kicked off the exchange of cadres.

Part of the national strategy is a demonstration area for eco-friendly development that spans Shanghai's Qingpu District, Suzhou's Wujiang District, and Jiaxing's Jiashan County in Zhejiang Province.

On January 6, Wujiang hosted a symposium on cadre exchange and also launched the training of leading cadres who can be better prepared to advance the integration, marking a new start in the drive.

In the first round, eight cadres from Shanghai and Suzhou have assumed positions, at the division and office levels, in the exchange program. This includes two cadres from Wujiang to work in Qingpu, and vice versa.
