Mlily, a mattress manufacturing company based in Nantong City, donated 1,000 medical protection suits and 50,000 surgical masks to Serbia on March 16.

Serbia declared a state of emergency on March 15 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Wu Xiaohong, vice president of the company, said Mlily set up a manufacturing base in Serbia in 2014 and has enjoyed close cooperation and friendship since then. On June 28, 2015, then Serbian prime minister and today’s president Aleksandar Vucic attended the ceremony of launching the manufacturing base.

Wu said, it took quite some time to pool all the donated supplies, but if there is still need in Serbia in the future, Mlily will send more donation so long as domestic supplies suffice.
