Xi's proposals to enable humanity as a whole to win the battle against this major infectious disease give meaning to the vision of an international community with a shared future, said a U.S. expert on China.
BEIJING, March 28 -- Foreign experts have applauded Chinese President Xi Jinping's call for international solidarity and cooperation in the prevention and control of COVID-19, saying it is vital to the victory of the battle against the pandemic.
Speaking on Thursday at the G20 Extraordinary Virtual Leaders' Summit on COVID-19, Xi urged the international community to be resolute in fighting an all-out global war against the COVID-19 outbreak and make a collective response for control and treatment at the international level.
He also urged G20 members to support international organizations in playing their active roles and enhance international macro-economic policy coordination.
